This notice covers visitors to Sorvuna pages, including calculators, guides and topic hubs. It does not cover third-party websites we link to.

Sorvuna does not currently operate user accounts, newsletter sign-up forms or payment checkouts on this site.

Information that may be processed when you visit includes:

• Calculator values and preferences you enter in your browser (see sections 4 and 5).
• Technical information processed by our hosting infrastructure when pages are requested (see section 6).
• Optional analytics information from Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity — only if those tools are configured for the environment and you have consented (see section 7).

Tax and finance calculators run in your browser using client-side calculation code. There are no Sorvuna calculator API endpoints that receive your inputs for calculation.

That means ordinary calculator use keeps your inputs in the browser for computation. However:

• If you use a “Share calculation” link, selected inputs are encoded into the page URL. Anyone with that link can see those values. You should not share a link that contains information you consider sensitive.
• When a shared URL is loaded, the full request URL (including query parameters) may be processed by hosting infrastructure as part of normal HTTP delivery and security logging.
• Calculator inputs may be stored temporarily in your browser so you can resume work in the same tab (see section 5).

We do not claim that calculator data “never leaves your device” in every scenario, because shareable URLs and hosting request logs can involve the network path.

Sorvuna uses browser storage technologies covered by the UK PECR rules on storage and access technologies. These include sessionStorage and localStorage, not only cookies.

Essential storage is used so calculators can restore your entries in the current browsing session, remember certain display preferences, and remember analytics choices when you make them. Details are listed on the Cookies and storage page.

This website is hosted on Vercel. When you load a page, technical information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser/user-agent details, requested URL and timing data may be processed by the hosting platform for delivery, security and reliability. Sorvuna Limited does not invent or restate Vercel’s retention periods here — see Vercel’s privacy notice.

Sorvuna Limited does not currently run an application server that stores calculator payloads in a Sorvuna database.

When optional analytics is enabled for the deployed environment and you grant Analytics consent, Sorvuna Limited may use:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — to understand page usage, traffic sources and aggregate interactions (for example which calculators are opened).
• Microsoft Clarity — to understand usability through session recordings, heatmaps and interaction analysis.

Analytics is optional and off by default. GA4 and Clarity scripts do not load, and those services do not collect analytics, until you Accept analytics. You can Reject with equal ease, and you can withdraw consent later via Cookie settings in the footer.

Privacy protections in this product include:

• Calculator financial values are not intentionally sent as analytics event properties.
• GA4 page views use a sanitised URL (origin and path only) so calculator share-query values are not sent as page_location.
• Clarity recordings mask calculator result surfaces and input content; share URLs shown on the page are masked in the DOM. Until Clarity URL-parameter masking is configured externally, Clarity is not initialised on calculator pages that already contain query parameters.

Advertising tracking is not part of this design. Google advertising consent types remain denied. Sorvuna does not use Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel or similar advertising tags.

If optional analytics is not configured for the environment you are visiting, no analytics banner is shown and no GA4 or Clarity scripts load.

• To provide the website and calculator features you request.
• To keep the service secure and reliable via hosting providers.
• To remember essential preferences and (when enabled) optional analytics choices.
• To improve the site using optional analytics only if you consent.

Where UK GDPR applies to personal data controlled by Sorvuna Limited, we rely on:

• Legitimate interests for operating and securing a free informational website, balanced against your rights.
• Consent for optional analytics storage/access once those tools are enabled.
• PECR exceptions where applicable for strictly necessary storage and certain appearance/functionality preferences, as described on the Cookies and storage page.

Hosting is provided by Vercel. When you consent to analytics, Google (GA4) and Microsoft (Clarity) process analytics data according to their terms as analytics providers / processors for that purpose.

Hosting and (if enabled) analytics providers may process data in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, United States or other locations where they operate. Where UK GDPR transfer rules apply, appropriate safeguards would be those used by those providers (for example standard contractual clauses), as described in their documentation.

• Calculator session storage lasts for the browser tab/window session.
• Display preferences and consent choices in localStorage remain until you clear site data or we change the storage version.
• Hosting logs follow the hosting provider’s practices — we do not invent retention periods.

We use HTTPS and rely on hosting-platform security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and rights related to automated decision-making where applicable. You may also withdraw consent for optional analytics where consent is used.
